April 1, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — I have been reading your bombast rebuttal with profound disbelief. In fact, I wanted to respond to the details of this bombast piece of work but most of what I wanted to say has been covered by a few of our readers who have responded handy. Hence, I will just focus on what you have gotten yourself into by pompously writing for the sake of writing.
As some of our colleagues have articulated, your glittering language of uncalled for belligerence has missed the ideal target. My article was meant to refute the ongoing flood of propaganda by Kiir’s regime against our position. All I asked for is international media and the diplomats covering the peace process to bash each warring party for what it is doing wrong. Fortunately, I have received very kind comments on most of the points I raised in my article. Doing my job , you can not expect me to sing Kiir’s praise in response to their belligerent propaganda against my party. Neither did I try to force our position into your throat as you asserted in your shallow and dry response. As one of the responders articulated on Nyamilepedia, those who have critically discerned the wording of this trash will only see you either as a hater or another aimless Internet warrior.
It is unfortunate that even the emotional pitches of your own wording have glided you into the same ditch of belligerent propaganda of Kiir’s fascist regime. That has also put you in the same trenches of the ongoing violent war of word we are fighting with Juba. Doing exactly what our Juba adversaries do best ,( denying genocide) and discrediting those who exposed that heinous crime against humanity, you have shamelessly gone as far as using ears says of Kiir’s bigots who accused me of lying that I witnessed the genocide where I was held up in New Sudan Palace Hotel. The Freudian reasoning of my enemies who wished me dead unfortunately led you to the inept logic that you are a better witness of that violence because you dodged some bullets. That sensation would tell those who know better that you have attacked me on behalf of some one by accessory .
You have told your audience that I was comfortably driven to the airport. Well for sure, you did not see that and you do not even have a clue that I was evacuated by American government and went to the airport with the help of my close Shilluk and Dinka friends within the security system who did the needful knowing that all of us ( Naath intellectuals) were in eminent danger at that time. Your cohorts did not also tell you that my own personal bodyguard was murdered between the hotel and the house I was planning to report to because of his ethnicity.
Okuk, only a Nuer like me and our Dinka friends who saved our lives would know that hotels became even more dangerous than homes for Nuers from December 17, 2013. Even common sense dictates to tell us that dodging astray bullets could be safer than being lynched in cold blood at that time.
True many of our citizens died in cross-fire. Our Dinka people bearing Nuer tribal marks also died in the hands of those village boys from Northern Bar-Elghazal and Warap who evidently never had wider interaction with South Sudanese to know that ethnicity is not necessarily told by tribal marking in South Sudan. In any case, there is no justice in comparing random victims of cross-fire and looting like you with those who were targeted because of their ethnicity. Do you know that the only secured Nuer at that time was a one that can be used to say what you have said in your bombast( denying the mass killing)? Do you need to be informed that our intellectuals like Lam Chol, Dr. Nhial Monykuai, Mr.Koang Toang Pathoat,Tut Banypiny and many more were picked up in hotels and murdered because of their ethnicity? We have lost a lot of masters degree holders and medical doctors in this genocide and it is not a joke my friend! Some one will one day pay the price for it.
Yes, I was the first to write an article calling what happened in Juba another Rwanda in the making. Other credible South Sudanese intellectuals from other ethnic groups have also written to condemn what happened. Dr. Peter Adwok Nyaba, Edward Lino, Dr.Majak Da Agoot and many more have condemned this in writing. I’m sure that provoked the AU inquiry which must have proven us right. So where did I loose the credibility. Did I have to dodge a bullet like you barraged about for my writing to be credible? I don’t think so!! To the contrary, time is proving me and my colleagues who have joined me in exposing the mass killing right. In fact, the whole world has gone for investigation of what I called another Rwanda in the Making. It is a matter of time, those who want to defend Kiir and his accomplice will have do that in the court of law.
Unlike civil cases which need only preponderance of evidence, criminal cases need higher stands of proof in court but I can bet with you that with the mountain of circumstantial and physical evidences at hand, the verdict will definitely shame your pen and the tongues of those who have gone for blaming the victims of this crime(genocide) for whatever reason. Otherwise, Kiir is already tried and convicted in the court of public opinion. Let us also bet that I have gained credibility as the leakages of AU inquiry are already telling the world that Kiir started the war with hate speech. In our science of criminal investigation, you just need to prove what we call Mense Reus( Criminal mind) to convict the suspect for murder and that comes very easily in all we have obtained through investigation. With the level of preparation we have all witnessed, Kiir and his partners in crime are potential convicts in any court of law.
Okuk, another reason for my disbelief is that I did not expect that nonsensical belligerence to come from a wretch of Juba like you, a member of a political party ( SPLMDC) eternally subjected to political servitude. A party whose leadership is literally living in open big jail house called Juba. An official opposition party which is trying hard to practice democracy where democracy is a mere illusion!. You can not force all to live that life my friend!! If this is what you call civilized way to challenge political warlords like Salva Kiir and Malong Awan, then we are living in different planets.
We tried it and ended up being butchered en mass!! For heaven sake, it is not your right and it is not morally right to urge all our people to face the savagery we all witnessed in Juba with bare hands. for one thing, it is not human. That was why our people had to take arms more than once to resist Jallaba oppression. I do know it may feel different under your skins but under mine, the pinches of both episodes of oppressions feel the same.
Regarding the violence Kiir’s apologists and confused pundits like you blame us for, are you aware that majority of our generals who joined the resistant movement because they were attacked in their houses? Do you know that our Nuer brothers are still treated like fifth columnists within Malong’s army? Even Kiir himself went to the air to rebuke his tribesmen whom he accused of driving all the Nuers to Riek Machar by attacking them. So who are you to blame us to put up an armed resistance for self-defense? It is not your right and nobody is in control of that decision of life and death. Nobody moblize Nuer Community to fight Kiir. He mobilize all of us by killing us. Ultimately, Kiir’s apologists must know that we are a formidable national political and military force to reckon with as things stand now. We will not accept a bad peace and no body will cow us in to political servitude.
