May 06, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The leadership of South Sudan’s SPLM/SPLA [in Opposition], under the chairmanship of Dr. Riek Machar Teny, welcomes the call to establish an Hybrid Court in the region to bring South Sudanese leaders to account for the current conflict in the country.

In his latest response to US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry, the Opposition leader reiterates that they have been calling on the International community to address the issues of atrocities committed in the current civil war.

“In fact we are the only ones calling ever since for the international bodies to look at the atrocities committed in South Sudan. Anything that provide justice to the victim of the recent massacre is welcomed” Machar states.

The opposition has also calls on the International Community and the AU to push for official disclosure of African Union Commission of Inquiry report on the conflict to expedite the IGAD-led peace process.

The call for justice and accountability has landed Dr. Machar in tough discussions as some regional leaders and observers attempt to convince him that he should not lead the call for accountability since he might be implicated, however, Machar assures his proponents and opponents that he is ready and instead urges his main rival, Salva Kiir, to be ready as well.

President Kiir on his part wonders if Dr. Machar will account for “1991” if he accounts for the current atrocities.

According to leading members of Salva Kiir government, the call for justice, accountability and healing may impede the peace process, and therefore it should be shelved until further notice.

“This is an unfortunate statement, especially at the time when we are in search for peace.  The most appropriate situation would have been to work for peace first, bring peace and, after peace, then you make people accountable.  Now it seems that the Secretary is putting the cart before the horse,” said the outspoken Minister of Information, Michael Makuei.

Secretary John Kerry, having heard the regime’s current argument, challenges the South Sudanese leaders to bring peace or precisely demonstrate how accountability would impede peace talks.

“Well, I would like to see exactly that peace process is and precisely what it will do to impede it before making that judgement” Mr. John Kerry challenges Salva Kiir’s administration.

It is high time the South Sudanese and the African wake up and stop falling into the USA traps. It is not surprising that you will hear South Sudanese in diaspora calling for the international community and the Troika countries to place sanctions on our country. This had always left me asking myself, WHY? Why would someone support a thing that would affect his fellow countrymen at the grass-root? where is our loyalty and patriotism to our country? I also asked myself that why would someone, including those who have committed genocide, support the International Community and the AU to release and push for official disclosure of African Union Commission of Inquiry report on the conflict. To my rude awakening, the Diaspora and IO think that once the most wanted is in ICC, they might stand a chance to get favours from their countries of resettlement like USA and lead the country but asked yourself, how safe is this game?

How does sanctioning of notorious warlords and politicians affect the grassroots? And if it does, would sanctions be worse than atrocities, economic collapse, death, …, and famine? Your question should instead be; will the sanctions impede or expedite the peace process, and the subsequent healing and reconciliation?

IO thinks they never massacre any one in South sudan and they believe killing was only in Juba not knowing most of the killing was carried out by IO themselves in Bor, Bentiu, Akobo and Malakal. let them continue preaching, Riek, Peter Gadet, James Koang etc will end up in ICC.

Riek Machar rebellion is Nuer Rebellion… simple amd clear and no Question about it.
So if my Nuer people rebellion thinking White Army did not killed anybody please think again again again.
Riek Machar rebellion is enemy of the State of South Sudan and is a threat to many people of South Sudan.

Riek is killing nuer people directly and Indirectly. simple and easy to see.

Riek Koang: you don’t what you are talking about because these Generals are rescuer of Nuer people in the land of Southern Sudan. Riek himself is a victim of the innocent civilians that were killed by murderers salva Kiir in Juba. You talk like that because you are belind fool by those Nuer who are getting money and Makue Lueth put it best and calling them Blood Suckers.

      Ajak Mayen,

I hope those who are opposing sanction on South Sudanese leaders are hiding the reality that dragged our nation into this dreadful death of an innocent people. This war was planned by so – call Dinka council of elders who occupied 90% in the government of South Sudan. I say that because they still lobbying for support to government that there were no Nuer civilians killed when the war erupted in Juba.

I my self new that some Dinka have built a huge bulk of hared against Nuer. It was their mistake that they controlled everything and still mistreated people, and shamelessly showing that the government of South Sudan is belong to Dinka.
I can remain you about video that was posted on You-tube by Gordon Buay that he was going to overthrow Salva Kiir. There was one Dinka Bor in Newszeland called for Dinka tensions by saying that look carefully about this video, something like 1991 is going to happen. I told him that it will not be the same like 1991 because many of Nuer were together with Torit faction that was why 1991 was failed. I said that due to the activities that the government of South Sudan was on. Some elites of Dinka shown their strength that they controlled the government of South Sudan. And they left out the rest even those Dinka who sympathize in other tribes were victims in Salva Kiir regime.

My question is that, if we are speak out the true, how we will live in our Country? Everybody will line up with tribesmen and continuing to plotting against who is not from their tribe. I myself was with Torit faction during 1991 war because I have no idea about what Riek Machar was looking for. As I am speaking, I there is no option rather than federalism to relieve people of South Sudan from wrestling each other.

At this time, we have to speak out the fact that will save our people and bring back to live in harmony live. Also taking who is guilt of war crime to court will build truth amongst people of this great nation (South Sudan)

There are people who say, spla io,are fighting a stupid war. Is that war really stupid? If there was nothing happened to the nuers in juba, mapel and else where, why was the African union report selved? Someone help me answer for me that question. Those who normally say Dr. Riek is fighting stupid war, please answer this simple question for me. These fellows are fighting a just war. They will win, because,God and logic are on their side. How do you feel as a human when someone kills your love ones because of tribe. Even if it is a single being. You Will have to avenge.

      Mr Opina Oywec;
Brother you will never get a good answer from those who talk like fish in this social media because they don’t judge thing in the right way. Why do I said that? Look how regional leaders do in the peace negotiation. I ask the same question. Where in the planet earth to make Dictators a mediator on the conflict they have already involve in. for example, Musevenie is fighting along with Kiir and the world make him the mediator. The world is not the same like before brother. United nation still begging to accept peace and stay in power while he killed 20, 0000 people. Those people include women, and children. In my opinion, People who knows the president who is illiterate want to keep because they know any deal they want to sign, he could sign because he doesn’t know. they prove was the meeting president and Georg Bush, and the peace deal that was brought by Musevenie and UHURU Kenyatta but the Dr. Riek refuse because He knows all these Presidents are Dictators.

Why dinka does not like a court if those names mentioned will to go court then why your men fear that court. No matter of what how hard it is and how long it is going to take justice must be done whether you like or not. Dr. Machar is ready for any thing period.

      Dear readers,

Accountability is good for every citizens in SS, but we are ensure that OI will not celebrated it’s because they have big percentage.

UNMISS 2 peacekeepers were killed in cold blood Akobo with 30 civilians from Dink, 5 mass graves in Bor included 17 cleric in the Church, and the list is endless.

Al so, 1991-1993 genocide in Bor, committed by the same Rick Machar’s forces as he attempt apologize in 2013.

So, we are welcome US plea for accountability.

Nuer, America is for all of us, Dinka and Nuer. USA is not a shallow thinker like most Nuer does. America know very well that who between Nuer and Dinka suffered the most, during the bloody war with the North.
America know it very well that Nuer caused dearly catastrophic an unimaginable suffering in South Sudan.
All Nuer wishes, which need USA to implement them, will not going to happens, because its all full of craps. America know it and the whole World know it. America know that Nuer never fully quit rebellion through out from time of CPA to present. Who on this earth can trust these kind of people?
America know very well that, no guarantee Nuer will quit rebellion if it happens to install Machar by force or any some way around possible.
There is only one solution among so many solution Nuer can understand better, and that is war, in order to fulfill Nuer wishes. Nuer belief that fighting is a norm, in fact, they are barbaric People who like to attack her neighborhood on daily basis, since God created people. Let war going forward as long it take to let Nuer full of it. Their so called Mighty Warrior is curved them out of understand they die too and reduces to fewest number.
Eventually,USA is aware that, there are many Dinka in USA that monitoring their move and what they are doing. That is why I think they don’t do what they say, which is called lip services.
To remind Nuer rebellion in case they cannot understand, Dinka doesn’t hate Nuer, but only Machar. In case, America has to install Dr.Ebola (Riek), they has to use Atomic bomb on Dinka so that Dr.Ebola can become president, which I think it is not likely to use Atomic Bomb.
Good Luck Dr.Ebola(Machar) try your luck, but remember every Dinka individual are on the line waiting to fight you in case Kiir die or run away.

      • May 6, 2015 at 11:01 am

        Deng II;
Deng the problem is not because you dinka like risk. you dislike all Nuer people in first place. Don’t belind fool yourself my friend. if you dinka dislike Dr. Riek, why you have killed innocents children and women in Juba. second to that, why did you guys waite for election to come and vote Riek out in the election. Your words in this social media are very shallow indeed and either you are very skeptical or dump enough to just put you’re lying pholosophy about being rulers forever. Which will never happen in the land of Southern Sudan at all. what Dinka are you talking about? Gathering mercenaries is not a strong fighter you can pickup on. I urge you to tell your Cousin Kiir to let Musevenie go to his country or tell him to reject the peace deal infront of the world. He can announce that he to fight rather than crying to get help from other nations around the world.

Government Of Illegality always hates accountability just the way after every embezzulings of publics fund.
Many of these Juba Gov’t officials are unpatriotic and irresponsible including the president himself.
Nothing new, they are all parasites ok!

2 much talking from the western world will never help the innocents who are the victims of this conflict, action could speak lauder than words to those who want to make others to be synical.

Well Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon have spoken, “Gat ram mi ran” it makes cannibalist community of jaang to cries like their mothers being fuck by a Nuer men.

Dr. Riek have been calling for accountability since but nobody was listening to his calls.
Now even the USA who give green like to Museveni and Kiir have come to their senses by calling for responsibility and accountability in this Kiir and Museveni imposed war on Naath/Nuer, we welcome it.

However, more need to be done so that these dictators/criminals are brought to book for peace to return to the region.

I wonder why South Sudanese people don’t understand the different between independent country and remote area lifestyle, the reason why I said this why there is nobody indicate Salva Kiir the President of South Sudan by telling him that there is big different between 1991 and independent country he need stop talking about 1991 that not will help him out, because he wasn’t a president of Sudan in 1991 and also he didn’t became a President of South Sudan to revenge for 1991 that very nonsense schussed, because on that time there was no country always tribe vs tribe usually fought each other because there was no government regulation in the South Sudan everyone in the South Sudan was rebelling among each other, I think mr President need to plan another option forget about 1991 is not gonna help you in the really court of laws , even a checker court of laws will tell you is not Betsy Ideas to used in the court just used the coop tempted that will good topic I am only 24 years old but I did more research about independent country and remote area system on that time South Sudan have systematics at all.
