August 1, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Speaking today in Addis Ababa, Dr. Lam Akol, the former Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Former Chairman of Democratic Change Party and a Former member of JMEC has resigned from all his positions to join the revolution for a new beginning for South Sudan.
Dr. Lam concludes that the peace agreement is dead and therefore there is no time to waste. In strongest terms possible, Lam warns those who call for the head of Riek Machar to be brought to Juba “dead or alive” that dismissing Riek will not be the end of revolution.
“While Kiir’s forces hunt for Dr. Riek Machar to get him “dead or alive” they should be reminded that that will not be the end of the story. The genie is out of the bottle and the last laugh will not be theirs. The people of South Sudan will not stand more of a callous, totalitarian and ethno-centric regime that seems to thrive on the suffering of its people”.

What is your vision for the New South Sudan?
There was a vision when brothers and sisters were together as one family eating from the same plate, drinking from the same pot, sitting around the same firewood to warm themselves and tell stories of the past, protecting one another from the same common enemy who had every kind of guns and logistics to provide his soldiers with their needs at any time and at any place.
There was a vision, there was a will and there were sons and daughters of South Sudan leading and heading towards our ultimate political destination.
Unfortunately, something catastrophically occurred in the minds and hearts of those sons and daughters of South Sudan and altered that excellent vision which was agreed upon unanimously by the first comrades, that outstanding vision was meant to end our long era of suffering, our long era of slavery, our long era of oppression, our long era of undermining, our long era of degradation, our long era of second class citizenship status, our long era of marginalization and underdeveloped region. However, with the new vision now, another era of self-destruction, self-demolition, self-sabotage, self-devolution, self-demobilization, self-focus, self-selfish, self-development, self-thinking and self-feedback has started in South Sudan where individual social and communal social group are focusing solely on its interest and doesn’t mind and care about others. And here comes the problem and the disaster in South Sudan whereby the Nuer sons and daughters are being killed, the Dinka sons and daughters are being killed, the Shiluk sons and daughters are being killed, the Fertet sons and daughters are being killed, the Equatorians sons and daughters are being killed and the rest of southern sons and daughters are being killed. This is the soul and the spirit of the new vision of the leaders and politicians in South Sudan. Can we come to our common sense as South Sudanese once again to end this new project of destroying ourselves by ourselves or what do you think?

so now all southern Sudanese they known you, you are poor ideology politician. because you don’t have future plans for the nation or southern Sudanese or good hope for the new generation even if you haven’t completed it, we will complete it in the future for our generations. so that they can put your name in history of South Sudan to remembers you through all willing generations.
but now you wasting your time for nothing. so make sure you will not be a live through out., there are a time for birth & time for live and time for death. so I want to give you the example here: if search around the world you can get many many kings: king of country, king of force, king death, king of birds, king trees and king of … what & what … but you can not get king of life, and if you get it. you working for true, then that you can say i willing to be a king of life. so that we could know it that is arson you are doing what you want, because you are man for ever.

Dr. Lam Akol is hero in our history, he cannot be fooled with money or position in Juba, we are very happy that he joined the revolution to save the nation. Dr. Lam Akol and Dr. Riek Machar will both work together to dismantle the roots of dictatorship in South Sudan.

The people of South Sudan we are your brothers here in Kenya.We the Luos we are facing a similar challenge from each and every regime that has subsequently ruled Kenya. We have been denied opportunity to rule despite having won in two occasions in 2007 and 2013 respectively. However, we have not resorted to armstruggle, instead we have embraced peace and forght through constitutional means. First through our leaders in parliament we got the new constitution that liberated us from the former retrograsive one and this constitution dispensation also brought with it devolution that now devolve resources to the counties thereby ensuring equitable resource distribution.
If take that path you will always have peace because what you’re simply fighting for is misrule and inequitable distribution of resources.
As our brothers we feel for you and should only ask you to embrace and do not let your beloved country get back to the dogs. It’s upon you the citizenry of South Sudan build or destroy your country with your own hands.
To your leaders especially the current president Mr Kiir you are the symbol of unity and you hold the fabric of youngest nation in Africa at hand. Remember blood of the dead will be on your head and will be held to account some day. To avert this, embrace ceasefire for the interest of peace for the sake innocent women and children of South Sudan.
