March 23, 2015 (Nyamilepedia)— The embattled SPLA former Chief of General Staff, Gen. James Gathoth Mai, has allegedly escaped from Juba to Nairobi following the arrest warrant issued against him and two of his colleagues by President Salva Kiir a couple of days ago.

An insider, who preferred anonymity due to fear of reprisal, confirmed to Nyamilepedia via a cellphone call that the General has last night narrowly escaped using a private vehicle to Kenya border where another vehicle came from Kenya and picked him up from the border and safely dropped him off to Nairobi this morning.

Other Generals whose names also appeared in the same list include; General Pieng Deng Majok, the Inspector General of South Sudan Police service,  and Maj. Gen. Mac Paul, the former chief of Military Intelligence.

Maj. Gen Mac Paul immediately left the country after being fired for denying the December coup allegations, however, General Pieng Deng is still roaming within South Sudan Capital, Juba, waiting for his fateful time with trepidations.

General Gathoth Mai attempted self imposed exile and sought asylum in Australia after being fired in April 2014, unfortunately the general was promptly deported by Australian Authority after dragging unnecessary attention to a peaceful neighborhood where his relatives lived.

Upon his arrival in Juba, Gathoth Mai was appointed as the chairman of loyal Nuer Community, also known as “Nuer Wew”,  for his security and safety. However, following a confidential meeting between the president and heads of security service three days ago,  Hoth has reportedly evacuated the country for the second time.

Juba has been a big prison for many politicians and military generals, particularly the opposition party leaders and honest military officials, who refutes the government accounts on the conflict.

It is yet to be verified if this abrupt departure was coincidental, however, the insider report hints that Nairobi may not be a safe haven for the former officials as Juba may extend its surveillance to Nairobi, Kampala and Addis Ababa.

It is not yet clear whether Nairobi will be the final destination for the former Chief of Staff, however, the Kenyan capital has been a home away from home for many exiled politicians including Maj. Gen. Mac Paul, the former Chief of Military Intelligence.

These arrest warrants are believed to have been triggered by the leaked report of African Union, the AUCISS which was seen by Reuters and Nyamilepedia.

The draft did not auger well with President Salva Kiir, who later accused his former friends of letting him down by telling a version that contradicts and exposes the ethnic cleansing in Juba, which later triggered the ongoing violence in many parts of the country.

The intelligence confirmed that President Salva Kiir has ordered freezing of properties of those whom he believed to have betrayed him.

Latest reports from Kampala, Uganda, confirmed that properties and vehicles have been confiscated already in Kampala and this is expected to follow shortly in Nairobi, Kenya. These include bank accounts, buildings and any vehicle with South Sudan plate numbers.

Apart from the three Generals, crackdown on the lower ranked SPLA officers and politicians who gave information to AUCISS is said to have kicked off, and many are escaping from Juba to any safe haven they can find.

Nyamilepedia will update you more about any new development on this. Just be alert!

Now out of frustration and hopelessness riveted by recurrent defeats by the National army in the battles, worshippers of the prophet of Doom, resort to distortion, deception & defamation whoopla as the last bullet in their Muzzle, before surrender to those patriot they called Nuer-Wew, absolutely begging for protection & accommodation.

What!! Repetition of Khartoum Peace agreement 21 April 1997 between the Khartoum-based government of Sudan and various militias is recycling itself, this time with new master
If not, as was always the case with those objectless followers of prophet of Doom, then we call it a day. Prophet of Doom couldn’t identify the right King-Maker to elevate him from his twice failed attempts; your Ngundang prophecy is to be cast-off into the rubbish bin of history

    Dear South Sudanese:
The report you are reading on this network is a pure fabrication and wishful thinking by our Nyamile team which never shy away from publishing false information.

1st Lt. Gen. James Hoth Mai went to Nairobi yesterday in broad day light through Juba International Airport to visit his mother and father who are living in Kenya. Since the release of the report, there has never been any time when those who participated in the leaked AU report were in danger. The participants discussed in the report what they knew to be true in their best knowledge. James didn’t go to Kenya by vehicle. The Nyamile informant was wrong. He will be back to Juba as soon as his family visit is over.
There are no arrest warrants neither for James, Mac or Pieng Deng nor Kuol Manyany or anyone else for that matter. The allegations you are hearing are false and baseless which reflect the wishful thinking of the rebels that the government of south Sudan would divide itself so that they could march into Juba without any resistance.

As for Australia claim, all of you know that James went to Australia more than three times between 2014 and 2015. At no time did the Australian government deny him any visit for whatever reason. Yes, some disgruntled Nuer refugees in Australia tried desperately to urge Australian government to stop James from visiting his family. Those included people like Chuol Deng Gai and his friends whom he mobilized. The Australian government told them that they didn’t have any evidence that James participated in activities that would warrant their government to deny him entry. Majority of those who were against James to enter Australia are now coming to Juba as they have seen for themselves that the agenda of Riek does not hold any water for anyone, but himself.
Finally, the relationship between Salva and James Hoth Mai goes back since the days of Malakal in 1980s. Positions of government don’t make friends, personal relations do and Salva and James have very good personal relationship. Besides, who would arrest the next President of South Sudan, 1st Lt. Gen. James Hoth Mai?

They have to sort it out because it is not the right time for them to sleep on money again. Most generals were well protected by John Garang because they adored him and allow Garang by then to do what he wants. It is a joke when a crying baby like Mabior Garang demanded president to step down.

    What a BIG JOKE??
People think that a liar gains a victory over his victim. What I’ve learned is that a lie is an act of self-abdication,The man who lies to the world, is the world’s slave from then on…There are no white lies, there is only the blackest of destruction, and a white lie is the blackest of all.
The truth of the matter is; James went to Nairobi, Kenya by air to check on his olds folks who are living there, and I farewell him myself with others.

  27. March 23, 2015 at 10:28 pm

Where is he escaping to when he even involved in killing his own people? The good example of them is his own family members who were brutaly murdered, raped, burned and forced out of their own houses by the presidential guards when he was the chief of general staff for the army and the very person to give orders and rescued the innocent citizens of nuer nation. But he failed his duties and deserved isolation by the general public and nuer nation in particular. Why is he escaping, running away lately because his boss stop giving him the bloodmoney? Please you Nuer Wew, you need to avoid the love for money and embrace peace in our nation
