Our Condolences To The Family of Dr. Wani Tombe, R.I.P!

June 3, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The office of the SPLM-IO Canada Secretariat would like to convey their heart felt condolence to the family of Late Professor Dr. Wani Tombe, who passed away in Addis Ababa Ethiopia last week.

Professor Wani Dr. Tombe Lako was the most formidable Politician and Academician of the year in South Sudan. He was an advocate of human rights, justice equality, and the voice of the voiceless in South Sudan.

He was calling for a reform in the overall/overhaul in the institutions of government. He was also calling for a South Sudan that we are identified with, and that belongs to us all; and that treat every citizens with respect as equal and full citizenship irrespective of their ethnicities.
He was also advocating for the respect of people right to life and right of their properties.
Many young generation were touched and inspired by his wisdom, and exceptional academic excellent, as you can see on the social media.

As the chairman of Greater Equatoria council of Rights; Dr Wani Tombe was enlightening and sensitizing equestrians to raised up up and fight for their rights in S. Suddan. He was also  an ally, and in coalition with SPPLM IO, and the chairman of the Civil Society for Diaspora within the SPLM-IO.

His passing will leave greater gap in the peace talk and the civil society movement. He was connecting well to the international community specially the TRIOkA at the peace talk, and was looked upon as one of the alternative formidable partner in the reform process of our Country.
His untimely death will be a great loss to his family, Pager Lo,bonok Payam, Bari and the South Sudanese people in general.

May the Almighty God rest his soul in Peace
