Oct 15, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Dismissal of Mr. Nyoat Bilieu as the legitimate Leader of Nuer Community in Uganda. I as a Latjor Community Chairperson (Eastern Jikany), Liech State Chairman, SPLM-IO Representative, Nuer elders and all church representatives don’t recognized Nyoat Bilieu’s leadership.

The Nuer Community election was held on 24-08-2015 which did not successfully entitled anyone as leader and we formed verification committee who concluded that no party won and elders would lead Nuer Community. Electoral Commission’s term has expired since September that why the verification committee was form.

By the time verification committee declared their decisions, Mr. Nyoat’s group insulting the members of the Church by throwing stone yet claiming to be leader with his secretary for legal affairs who instead use law but (he) alternatively used stones. Under Uganda constitution 1995, article 29 (c) provided right of religion (our current jurisdiction) and section 6 of Uganda penal code Act cap 20 provided that ignorant of the law does not have an excuse. ‘’Be careful of nocents’’

I urge Nuer Community in Uganda to maintain peace, being together is our motto, we divide we fall. Therefore, let us stand firm and respect our elders not to support an illegitimate leader (Mr. Nyoat).

On behalf of Latjor Community in Uganda (Eastern Jikany), we strongly rejected 28 states that were created by Mr. President Salva Kiir and we call upon all South Sudanese not to implement that statement.

I wish the Nuers could be a liitle more discreet about the local community affairs. Instead they seem to enjoy the drama of airing their dirty laundries to the world and as a result their enemies picks out the weaks isolate them as easy targets base on the information on the public domains. The enemy then behemently corners their strong leaders for the kill and they get chocked everytime. This must stop. It’s easier & less damaging to the community’s credentials to circulate private matter and resolves them privately as long as there is an accounting system in place to keep records and minutes of your affairs to refer to in the future if need be.

I wish you could stop airing your community’s private matters on public domains. There got to be a system in place that accounts, record minutes and records of your community’s dirty laundries. The enemies uses the same information against you picking and isolating your weak from the strong and no wonder you are caught off guards everytime the enemy strikes against you. You are a small community and with that said, it should not be difficult to discreetly circulate an informative information amongst the concerned parties. You either change with time and adopt or go exting.

Article 29 of the Uganda’s Constitution, 1995 provides for the protection of the freedom of conscience, expression and movement, but clause (c) is completely irrelevant to the subject matter of the Nuer Community Dispute in Uganda. Therefore, the author is misleading the public on the aforementioned articles and only interrupting the peacefully co existing Nuer Community in Uganda. Regards

Moreover, the Penal code Cap. 20 that he quoted applies only to criminal cases, not Community Disputes that only requires an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism of solving civil disputes. Regards
