Oct 22, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Dictatorship is the form of government characteristics by absolutely one person or the group of people who hold all political power in the country. While Dictatorship is the form of government in other nations just as monarch in the countries.Dictatorships are seen by non Dictatorships as dangerous or cruel because of the way they sometimes treats their citizens.
To be considered Dictatorship means that the country is known to run by one person without checks and balance of his power in the country.President Kiir started his dictatorship tendencies since he had removed all his (Military Generals) from duties
in the country.Dictators make unilateral decisions that affect their countries without having to consult any other branch of the government. That is because there is no other branch of government that is controlled by the Dictator.Human nature being what it is dictators do not rise to power for the good of their nations (thought they usually claim otherwise ) They seize power to benefit themselves ,their families and their close political allies.
Most people have already confused in the country for what kind of the government we have since and then , and the question is asked by most people all the time that, where does the SPLM leaders have copied the system of their government?
There are different types of the governments in this world and all governments come with several forms, each having their own pros and cons. While each form government is different, sometimes the difference are not clear. This is where we should compare Monarchy with Dictatorship. Both seem to be similar to one another ,but they have fundamental differences. It is better to learn what their differences are to have a better understanding of what kind of the government we have in the country.
A monarchy is the system of the government which is ruled by the single person.Usually this person is rules by the right of the birth. The title of this ruler is like Queen, King and emperor. In a traditional monarchy, the ruler has absolute power in the country.A democratic monarchy also has democracy place to limit the power of monarchy .Does the word ”born to rule” similar to this kind of the government?
In a dictatorship, there is the one person who has absolutely power in the country. He rules and the people have a little or no individual freedom at all in the country. The ruler is not usually elected and sometimes holds the power by forces. Dictators are rarely admitted that they are dictators, and often claim to be leaders of a democratic country. This is what the word ”Born To Rule” fit to have better understanding for the culture of this dictatorship which the one tribe enforcing the rest to accept it in the country.
Both types of the government have one ruler, and generally the resources of the country are used by the ruler for personal gain rather than benefiting the people.Followers of both types of these rulers are loyal first to the president and second to the country.People are loyal to the president Kiir first in the country than the country.
However, in our country today, most people aware of his dictatorship, but the people do not follow him as their leader. They have decided to love his money as the way, the dictator gains popularity in the country.Dr John quote is that ”SPLM is the tool that would bring the democracy in the country” but today the President Kiir sometimes used it as tool to establish Dictatorship in the country.Enough is enough and let us say No to Dictatorship but Yes to democracy.
