Group of artists in Ethiopia congratulate South Sudan warring parties on their commitment to implement the peace deal

Nov 16, 2015 (Nyamilepedia) — The office of South Sudan Artists’ Association in Ethiopia (SSAAE) is commending South Sudan warring parties on showing willingness and commitment to implement the newly signed security arrangement and the peace accord reached on the 17th and 26 to end the 20 months old conflict.

Khor Deng Jang (AKA-Khor Dj), the chairman of the association, congratulated the two warring parties on showing signs of commitment toward the full implementation of the peace deal.

“On behalf of SSAAE and on my own behalf, I would like to congratulate the two warring parties on reaching out a deal that aim to end the senseless war we had experienced for the past 22 months. I wish them all the best in the full implementation of the deal as stipulated in the compromised peace agreement and the security arrangement that was signed by the warring parties”.

Lul Tuach Dojiok (AkA-LTD), the deputy chairman of the association, urges South Sudan government to warmly receive SPLA-IO advance team in Juba and co-operate with them while implementing the peace deal’s provisions.

“I appeal to SPLA-government to warmly receive their fellow comrades (SPLA-IO advance team) in Juba and to co-operate with them in their quest for peace and harmony in the young nation. I urge them to materialize the provisions of the agreement in good faith and in the spirit of brotherhood to restore peace into our beloved nation once again.”

Gatwech Hoth, member of SSAAE and the team leader of the organizing committee revealed that SSAAE will hold peace’s concert on 20th November 2015. He also stressed that the peace’s concert will take place in Gerji Hall on Friday at 1:00 PM.

“South Sudan Artists Association in Ethiopia (SSAAE) will be holding a peace’s concert in Gerji at 1:00 PM. All peace-loving South Sudanese and media houses are invited to attend and cover the show.”
