June 20, 2017(Nyamilepedia) —— The beginning of July shall see the arrival in Canada of South African and African best reggae icon, PRINCESS NKULEE DUBE, the daughter of LUCKY DUBE. She is an extremely talented vocalist and performer, daughter of South Africa’s premier reggae star Lucky Dube.

Nkulee will be participating in various “African Descent festival presented by African Descent Society BC” at 1166 Main street Thornton, the Vancouver’s historic site of People of African Descent. This is an event you never want to miss! Nkulee Dube will stage performances across the country throughout the month of July.

The purpose of NKULEE DUBE tour is to pay tribute Hogan’s Alley heritage, the history for people of African Descent, and UN international Decade for people of African Descent in Vancouver.

Hogan’s Alley was the first and last concentrated community of African descent. which was destroyed in 1972 when the City constructed Georgia Viaduct. Today, as the city plans to remove the Viaduct, we celebrate this legacy for Hogan’s Alley and contribution of people of African Descent in Vancouver.

Nkulee, whose music can be classified as ‘ethno-ragga’, reggae and fused with soul and jazz is no stranger to the performance circuit and the music industry. Nkulee was awarded the prestigious “Most Promising New Entertainer” award at the International World Reggae Music Awards show after being nominated in seven categories. She was also nominated in a number of categories at additional award events.

Nkulee Dube was requested to become the “Goodwill Ambassador” for the African Youth Leadership Council and she was nominated in South Africa at the South African Music Awards for the “Best Produced Album”.

“ I am very excited and looking forward to be visiting Canada in July and performing in wonderful cities like Regina, Ottawa, Vancouver, and other cities. I am eager to see and to perform for all my dad Lucky Dube’s admirers and of course the great fans of my own” Nkulee said.

“We’re bringing a show that is unlike any other, packed full of fantastic music of my own composition plus also many of the best known songs of Lucky Dube.. See you soon Canada, and remember, Nkulee Dube loves you all!”
