Kiir shares National Security meeting, urges security units to enforce laws and orders

September 24th 2019 (Nyamilepedia)-South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Tuesday shared a meeting of the National Security Council at the State House in the nation’s capital Juba.

According to state-own news outlet, PPU, the meeting, chaired by the president, was attended by senior government officials and focused on the overall security situation, including a wave of crimes that have been committed by criminals in the capital Juba.

The statement disclosed that the law enforcement agents managed to apprehend most wanted criminals who have been disturbing residents over the last few weeks.

“Minister Chengjiek confirmed that security units managed to arrest most of criminals who were involved in crimes during the past few weeks.”

The authorities urged the security officers to take tough measures in an attempt to curb these increasing criminal activities committed by gangs.
