March 06, 2015 (Nyamilepedia) — Wedakona faces a heavy shelling in the early hours of 5:11 AM this morning. SPLA-IO blames SPLA-Juba forces for the violation of ceasefire agreement by shelling the base of SPLA-IO in Wedakona and its outposts while the two principals are in close door meeting searching for how to end the 15 months conflict in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Pual Malith, an officer for military moral orientation in Division seven, under the commanded of Brig. Gen. Joseph Gai Gatluak told our website that heavy artillery and specifically ‘BM’ and P-10 have been used to shell their position.
“The forces that combine Johnson Olony’s forces and Juba forces are coming to attack us anytime but we have discovered their tactics. They are coming in different fronts; one in Kaka direction and other group is using Kodok direction to give us surprise attack” He said.
This shelling comes after an attack by the government forces was repulsed in an area near Dukduk and Jerbani under the SPLA-IO control yesterday in the northern suburb of Renk county.
Many people believes that this has been a tactic by the government when trying to launch an attack on the areas under the SPLA-IO control;
“they first intensify the shelling and fully engage the SPLA-IO in shelling while on their move to attack the SPLA-IO position.” Malith said
However, SPLA-IO in Wedakona has indicated that their forces are put on alert to fight back in self defense if attacked by the SPLM-Juba allied forces.
