July 08, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Latest reports from the office of the First Vice President confirmed that the today’s meeting was a set-up to arrest the First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar, at the government’s stronghold – J1.
According to James Gatdet Dak, a small unit of Dr. Machar’s bodyguards fought back and have now rescued Machar to safety.
“This turned out to be a setup to arrest and possibly harm Dr. Machar. Fortunately, Dr. Machar’s bodyguards have managed to fight vigorously and rescued Dr. Machar. He is now safe! Meanwhile, fghting has continued.” Gatdet Dak said.
Gatdet confirmed that fighting took place at J1 while Dr. Riek was meeting president Salva Kiir at the heavily guarded palace but the forces of Dr. Riek Machar managed to rescue their leader.
“Fighting erupted inside J1, President Salva Kiir’s PALACE in the national capital, Juba. The President and his commanders attempted to arrest the First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny.” Gatdet said.
“This came after the President called for a meeting of the Presidency in his office with Dr. Machar and Vice President, James Wani Igga.” he continued.
While fighting continue, the SPLA spokesmen and President Kiir’s bodyguards could not be reached to comment on the situation.

Dear Dr. Machar’s bodyguards keep up this great work. jeing believes that Machar is the only central leader who can unite Nuer and other tribes can rally together with Nuer therefore killing of Machar is the alternative to break down the emerging unity of people of South Sudan against enemy of peace. let us stay vigilance and focus so that Killing of Dr.Riek by Dinka government should not happen easily!! To killed Machar is not easy, look the more of Dinkas from their stronghold (J1) are fight with small Unit of Dr. Machar which is only 30 bodyguards and Killed more than 80 Dinkas bodyguards of Kiir and defeated them up to kololo the road to airport and again they try to carryout the offensive to Pagak 2 which is chuany nyadiet H/Q and then coming back with disarray
