The recent fight resulted into uncalled for displacement of civilians in the nation capital. The fighting which started on 8th of July 2016 at the Nation’s State House or Presidential Palace then followed by fierce bombardment of the residence of First Vice President (FVP) Dr Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon at Jebel Kujur, Juba South Sudan from 8th to 11th July 2016.
We the EJNCA call on the IGAD, Trioka, African Union (AU) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to act now before it’s too little too late by provision of deterrent force creating a buffer zone between SPLA-IO and SPLA-IG in Juba and all major towns in the country.
We urge the international community to assist the displaced persons with humanitarian assistance as their conditions are worsening since the fighting broke out in juba.
We condemn in strongest term possible the illegal appoint of General Taban Deng Gai by President Salva Kiir Mayardit as his First Vice President (FVP) in absent of peace partner the FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon following his withdrawal from capital juba on the 11th July 2016 after heavy bombardment from Salva Kiir forces.
We urge the SPLM/SPLA-IO now in hotels in Juba to refrain from supporting Gen. Taban Deng Gai. The EJNCA wants to assure the world and the entire Eastern Jikany Nuer that we stand in solidarity with and behind able leadership of Dr Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon the Commander-in-Chief of the SPLM/A IO forces.
Should international community fails to deploy a third party force in short possible time, we will take matters into our own hands.

South Sudan’s peace guarantors as mentioned by the Jikany’s should be as furious about trashing of the peace agreement by Kiir. They must hold Kiir, his government accountable for dishonerablly violating this peace agreement. The JMEC overseeing the implementation of the agreement and the making of the transitional government of national unity must act accordingly and not allow neither peace partner to not honor their commiting to the signed documents. Impunity actions has to be stop where lawlessness is the order is consider normal when in actuality it’s not.
