August 20th 2018 (Nyamilepedia)  – South Sudan government on Monday arrested prominent government critic and co-founder of the Juba based think tank,  the Sudan Institute, Dr. Jok Madut Jok, several sources told the Nyamilepedia.

One source told the Nyamilepedia that Madut was arrested while leaving the Juba International Airport,  the country’s  only,  for an unknown location.

“He was arrested this afternoon by the national security at Juba international Airport,” the source said of him.

South Sudan government has been criticized for arresting critics and has been condemned by the international community including the Troika countries, South Sudan’s largest aid providers.

Last month,  the government arrested prominent Human Rights activists Peter Biar Ajak at the Juba International Airport while leaving for Northern Bhar Al-Ghazal state Aweil.
